This is a High-Shank ruler foot for use in combination with the template sets that we sell.

There are two different Ruler Feet for both the 1/2 inch and 1-inch templates sizes, depending on what machine you have. When your presser foot is in the down position measure from the screw hole to the needle plate. That measurement will determine whether you need a low, or high shank foot.

RULER FOOT SIZE:

If you do not know what shank your machine is it is probably a Low Shank as most domestic machines are Low Shank. If you want to check, all you need to do is lower your foot and then measure the height of the center of the hole for the screw from the needle plate.
