Star Spangled is ten pages, four sizes and not one point you have to match. The white sashing between the blocks does that work for you. Put your email in and the PDF opens on the next page.

The sashing sits between the blocks, so nothing has to meet across a seam. Your corners stay your own business.
If you can sew a straight quarter inch seam and press it flat, you can make this quilt.
Eight reds, eight blues and white on the cover quilt. Use what is already in your stash instead and the arithmetic still holds.
Most star patterns ask you to match eight points at the center of a block, then match those blocks to each other. One seam off and the whole top tells on you.
Star Spangled puts white sashing between every block, so each star stands on its own and the blocks can face any direction you like. Nobody will know which way you meant them to go.

No. The pattern is written for yardage, with the cutting list for every piece. If you do make it from a kit, the pattern tells you which section to skip.
The second page has the yardage for all seventeen fabrics in all four sizes, so you can price it before you commit to anything.
