Most stashes are built one pack at a time, which is why so many of them fight each other on the design wall. Squares bought in March, strips bought in July, and nothing quite agreeing on a shade of pink. This bundle sidesteps that. Every square and every strip here comes from the same Blossom Breeze prints, so anything you pull out of the box already coordinates with everything else still in it.
What is in the collection
Blossom Breeze is a garden in early summer, caught at the hour when the light is still soft. The palette runs through pink and coral, aqua and turquoise, deep navy and true red, with lavender, sage and cream in between.
The quiet prints do the heavy lifting: a pink gingham and an aqua gingham, a soft pink windowpane check, a fine aqua stripe, a crisp triangle geometric in pink on white, and two near solids in warm sage and clear turquoise. Set one of these between two busy florals and the whole row calms down.
The light florals carry the air. Tiny sprigs of pink blossom, grey green leaves with small red berries, ditsy flowers in coral, pink and lime, pale pink hydrangeas packed close, watercolour peach poppies and full pink roses. Two prints bring wildlife into the garden, with hummingbirds over flowering branches and small blue birds among white and yellow blossom.
Then the deep prints, which is the group most pre-cut bundles skip and the reason so many scrappy quilts end up looking washed out. Navy grounds carrying coral poppies and yellow daisies, navy with roses and berries, navy with pink and blue foliage. Two reds, one covered in white daisies and one with delicate white blossom on fine dark stems. A run of blues from chambray with a white ditsy through to sky blue with white daisy bursts, plus a lavender with white daisies to soften the transition.
Why the two cuts belong together
Cut a 5" charm square down the middle and you get two pieces measuring 2.5" x 5". Cut a 2.5" x 10" mini strip in half and you get exactly the same thing. The two formats sit on one grid, which means you can move between them mid-project without doing any arithmetic: squares where you want blocks, strips where you want rows, and the same 2.5" unit underneath both when you want to mix them.
Because six of every print run through the bundle, you can repeat a fabric across a whole quilt top instead of using it once and running out. That repetition is what makes a scrappy quilt read as designed rather than random.
One note before you plan around them. The strips are short 10" cuts, not full width-of-fabric jelly roll strips. That shorter cut is what keeps 480 precut pieces at this price, and it suits strip patchwork, blocks, and small makes rather than full-length borders or long strip sets.
