Meet Our New Perforating and Skip Rotary Blades

Meet Our New Perforating and Skip Rotary Blades

Every now and then a little tool comes along that quietly opens up a whole new corner of your craft, and that is exactly what is happening on our channel today. We are so excited to introduce two brand new rotary blades to The Fabric Hut family, a perforating blade and a skip blade, both designed to slot straight into your favourite rotary cutter and unlock a handful of beautiful new techniques.

Here is why this one is worth watching:

  • A perforating blade made for clean tear-away cuts. We show how the perforating blade glides through fabric and paper to leave a neat dotted line, perfect for foundation paper piecing, scrapbooking and any project where you want a tidy, controlled tear.
  • A skip blade that turns plain edges into decorative ones. The skip blade creates a lovely interrupted cut, gorgeous for fleece edging, soft no-sew throws and cheerful trims on paper crafts and card making.
  • Two new tools, one cutter you already own. Both blades fit standard 45mm rotary cutters, so you can pop them straight into the handle on your sewing table and try something new without buying another piece of kit.

Good news, the blades in the video are ours! Have a peek at our rotary cutter blades collection to find the new perforating and skip blades, along with the rest of our family of replacement blades for your favourite rotary cutter. We would love to see what you create with them!

If you enjoy peeks behind the scenes at the new tools and fabrics we are bringing into the shop, do hop over and subscribe to our YouTube channel, it is the best way to catch every new arrival as soon as it lands.

Which of the two new blades are you most curious to try, the perforating one for clean tear-away lines or the skip blade for decorative edges? Tell us in the comments which project you would reach for first.
