What quilters cut with them

Six quilters tested our blades on their own channels, with their own fabric. Mary B lined up three blades on the same cotton and kept adding layers: the cheap blade gave up at four, a new name-brand blade reached twelve but had to be leaned on, and ours went through the same twelve easily. Mary Go Round Quilts cut ten layers in one pass. Jackie Loos took eight layers of cotton, three of batting and three of denim, and said she barely used any pressure.

Why the edge holds

Our titanium coated blades are made from SKS-7 tungsten steel. The coating is harder than the steel underneath and cuts friction at the edge, so the edge keeps its shape long after an uncoated blade has rounded off. They last far longer than regular blades, and every pack is backed by our 60 day guarantee.

Less force on your hands

A dull blade makes you push, and pushing is what tires a quilter out. If you quilt with arthritis or fibromyalgia, that force is often what decides whether you finish the session. A sharp edge does the cutting so your hands do not have to.

Will these blades fit my rotary cutter

Our round blades are made to fit most standard rotary cutters, including Olfa, Fiskars and Martelli, so you keep the cutter you already own and only change the blade.

How do I know what size rotary cutter blade I need?

Check the size printed on your cutter or on the blade you are replacing. The 45mm is the standard quilting size, 60mm suits long cuts and thick stacks, and 28mm handles curves and small pieces.

Can I sharpen rotary cutter blades?

Blade sharpeners exist, but a sharpened edge rarely cuts like a new one, so most quilters keep a pack of replacement blades by the cutting mat and change the blade as soon as it starts to skip threads.

Are titanium coated rotary cutter blades better?

The titanium coating is harder than the steel underneath and cuts friction at the edge, so the blade stays sharp far longer than a regular blade. That is what lets our customers cut through stacks of ten and twelve layers of cotton in one pass.
