Sunday Best is the cotton we reach for when the quilt is going to be kept. It is denser and heavier than our Everyday line, closely woven, and it takes a crease and holds a quarter inch seam the way quilting cotton should. This one arrives as a single 3 yard cut, 108 inches long.

About this sage

Greenwood is the only print in this collection that is not blue or cream, and that is the job it does. Put it next to the teal and the navy and it reads as a separate color without raising its voice, which is what a quilt needs when every other fabric is a shade of the same thing. The flowers are cream, drawn open and flat rather than shaded, with leaves and small stems filling the space between them.

Three yards is the size for the fabric that appears in every block but never in large pieces. It cuts down into triangles, sashing and small squares without being the fabric you run out of first.

Cut from the bolt by us, folded, not sealed in plastic. Wash before you cut if you plan to wash the finished quilt.
