The plainest quilt of the family, in the loudest collection we sell.
This is the Patchwork Carnival version of Hazel, the one with nothing turned, no points to match and no direction to keep track of. Every unit goes in the same way up, and the last row leaves its white square off so the quilt ends on color the way it began. Finished size 58 1/2 by 70 1/2 inches.
Hazel leans on its white bands to carry the pattern, which is why it suits a bright collection better than you would expect. With forty prints in checks, stripes, stars and dots, the bands of white are the only quiet thing in the quilt and the eye goes straight to them.

Patchwork Carnival + White Supreme Bundle 284pcs
200 Precut Fabric Strips 2.5" x 10" + 84 Squares 5"
What it takes
Five packs of mini strips, forty to a pack, of which the top takes 156. Two packs of 5 inch white charm squares, of which the top takes 65, leaving 19 spare. The binding takes 36 strips from the same five packs with 8 left at the end. Backing is 2 1/4 yards of 108 inch wide fabric at 66 1/2 by 78 1/2 inches, batting to match.
A first quilt worth considering
There is nothing to turn and nothing to align beyond the strip seams running across each row, so the only accuracy that shows is the quarter inch. Sew one strip set, check it measures 8 1/2 inches across, then sew the other thirty-eight. Our quarter inch seam guide has the test.
The Blossom Breeze version covers the construction step by step.
