Finesse Classic Quilting Thread, 50wt Polyester - Copper - 1100 Yards

Finesse Classic in Copper is a 50wt, 3-ply polyester quilting thread from Grace, wound on a 1,100-yard mini-cone. It has the soft, matte look of cotton with the strength of polyester, so one thread takes you from piecing the top to quilting it.

Copper is a bright red-orange. Use it to blend into your piecing or to match the quilting to a fabric in your quilt.

Why quilters switch to Finesse

Cotton thread looks lovely but sheds lint and can snap when your machine runs fast. Shiny polyester is strong but can look plastic on a cotton quilt. Finesse sits in between: low lint and strong enough for longarm speeds, with a matte finish that blends into cotton. At 50wt it is fine enough to keep your piecing seams flat.

Good to know

This is a blending thread. A 50wt line sinks into the fabric rather than sitting on top, which is what you want for piecing and most quilting. If you want stitches that stand out boldly from across the room, a heavier thread will show more.

Features & Benefits

• 50wt, 3-ply polyester so that seams stay flat when you piece and stitches hold up when you quilt.
• Low lint so that your bobbin area and tension disks stay cleaner between projects.
• Matte, cotton-like finish so that the thread sits into cotton fabric instead of shining on top of it.
• Strong at high speed so that you can run a longarm or sit-down machine without constant breaks.
• 1,100 yards on a mini-cone so that you have plenty for a project without storing a full-size cone.

Great For
